Often regarded as Tameka Raymond Foster, the fashion stylist was born on January 1, 1971, in Oakland, California, US. She was birthed into the family of Lorene Foster and John Foster and was brought up alongside a sister, whose name is Valencia Foster.

After her high school education, she went to the Fashion Institute of Design & Merchandising after which she was able to start her career as a stylist. She has an impressive resume having worked with many big celebrities including Usher, Jay Z, Mary J. Blige, Nas, and Ciara among many others. Other high-profile clients she had include Aaliyah, Timbaland, Ginuwine, and Chris Brown.

She Was Previously Married Before Meeting Usher

As stated, before the paths of Tameka and Usher crossed, Tameka got married in 2002 to Ryan Glover but by 2007, the marriage had already ended. Not much was known about Glover as he maintained a life away from the limelight.

Before the marriage ended, the pair had two sons together, Ryan Glover Jr, and Kile Glover. The main reasons why the marriage ended were never revealed, but in the same year, she got married a second time.

Tameka’s Marriage To Usher Only Lasted Two Years

In 2007, when Tameka Foster was ending her first marriage, it also emerged that she was getting into another marriage with none other than famous singer, Usher Raymond. Interestingly, the two first met in 2005 when Tameka worked with him as his personal stylist.

They soon began dating before they walked down the aisle two years afterward. By the time they were getting married, the pair were already expecting their first child together as Tameka was already 5 to 6 months pregnant.

Their marriage caused a serious uproar most especially among the fans of the singer who described the stylist as a gold-digger. The issue they had against her was that she was 8 years older than the singer and was previously married.

In 2012, the stylist suffered the tragic loss of her second child with Ryan, Kile Glover who died at the age of 11. Kile suffered a head injury that left him brain dead after he was hit by a jet ski. He died of heart failure after he was taken off life support.

3. Tameka Raymond and Usher canceled their marriage ceremony the first time

Tameka and usher had initially planned for a big ceremony in 2007 for their wedding. However, they later called it off after spending a million due to the negative response they received in the build-up to the wedding. He revealed that he wanted to get married before the birth of his kids because he didn’t want his kids to be without a father like he suffered.

The former lovers have since moved on with their lives following their failed marriage. Usher got married a second time to Grace Migue in 2015 having worked with him as his manager from 2012. This marriage only lasted 3 years before it came to an end in 2018.
