She had her first debut in Syfy’s Happy series which was based on a graphic novel. She acted the role of Amanda, a single mother whose 8- year-old daughter, Hailey is kidnapped.
Also, she appeared in The Walking Dead and subsequently Those Who Wish Me Dead (2021) and keeping Company (2021). Before these, she was in Clone Hunter, Life’s Passing Me By, Cap, and Alien Uprising.
She worked on Indie films and won Best Supporting Actress at reel independence Film.

Medina is married to Graphic Designer, Kareem Collie who she met during a friend’s party in Manhattan in August 2002.
The couple didn’t date immediately, due to some principles Medina had about dating a friend’s ex. They remained friends till 2003 when they started dating.
They later went their separate ways but were still in touch and in 2008 they started dating again.
Kareem proposed in May 2009 at the Highline in Manhattan and they got married the following year on October 16, by a Seventh-day Adventist minister and assisted by an Imam. The reception was held at Riverpark in Manhattan.
Medina has two children from her marriage to Kareem Collie.
