Tanzania beaches offer some of the most picturesque scenes we can imagine. With the best times of the year being July to October, nothing should be in the picture of our holiday goals.

Many of these goals have sun, brown bodies, some alone time, game time and at the right place. Not to think so far, Tanzania has a wide range of beaches for your picking.

Tanzania beaches runs across the eastern coastline of the country and across different cities. How do you pick the ten best beaches?

1. Nungwi Beach Zanzibar

A Tanzania beach holiday goal will not be complete without having Nungwi on the list. Situated in a fishing village, there is everything to love about this beach.

Its warm welcoming Kipepeo backpackers is one among many of its perks. Activities ranging from snorkelling, Kayaking and sunset dhow are sure to give a memorable holiday. This beach is the only one that has the turtle care center in Tanzania.

This beach attracts lots of people for many reasons. Some want to experience the dhow-building culture, others the fun while the occasional beach bum is sure to have a lifetime of bonding with nature.

The beach is a sure holiday spot for any adventure seeking soul.

2. Utende Beach, Mafia Island

Dont be scared of the name, no mafia’s are out take you out. Mafia is an old Arabic word for ‘over there’. The Utende beach is the heart and soul of Mafia Island. Be sure to tick this beach on your list so you dont miss too much.

Utende beach offers some below the surface activities for the daring. Its perk is a visit to the Mafia Island Marine Park which takes up lots of the coastal waters on the Island. It takes an estimated 50% of the water making it a most see.

Be sure to set your camera for some amazing shots of humpback whale and whale sharks. Now that sounds like a holiday goal!

3. Mbezi Beach

If you are anywhere in the city of Dar Es Salam, be sure to visit this beautiful beach. Located north of the city, this beach is an alternative to visiting the Msanani Peninsula.

4. South Beach

South Beach, Tanzania

No one plans to sustain injuries while having a holiday to enjoy. This beach has warm blue water, white sand with no rocks making it an idle spot for a good swim. Other options are the sunbathing and diving. while planning on a day out at Mbezi, be sure to plan on visiting closeby attractions like Karibu Art Gallery and the Zoo at Dar Es Salaam.

Nature lovers will find it hard to say goodbye at the end of the day at Mbezi beach.

No need to wonder about food as vendors offer a variety of meals along its shoreline.

5. Coco Beach

This is yet another beach to hide away and be another face among the bustling crowd.The locals have a way of smiling their way into your heart as you walk along its sandy coastlines.

If you need some night life exploring a variety of restaurants and bars while in Dar, be sure to hit up the Coco beach.

6. Paje Beach

This beach never seem to stop attracting visitors with the many activities to do there. Its torqoise water and long stretch of pure white sand will make any firsttimer return year after year for holidays.

Kitesurfers enjoy their sport due to its strong winds and get carried away with the fun it adds to their game.

Many restaurants offer services to tame the raving hunger after a long unfilled day.

A beach day without some fun is another boring day. This beach has this attraction that reveals itself in layers. Kendwa beach lies 3km away from Nungwi beach. the bells are ringing on how to plan for the two popular beaches right?

Party lovers dont miss out on the fun to have on this beach while on holiday. It hosts a full moon beach party every month

Other activities to be enjoyed on this beach include parasailing, scuba diving and snorkeling. Be sure to also have close accommodation in one of the many hotels close to it as you enjoy the holidays.

8. Mbudya Island Beach, Zanzibar

This beach has many perks that makes it a holiday get away. It lacks any structures and gives the ambience of unlimited space.The ocean at this point is calm and its water warm.

How about that plan to do some snorkelling, well you just found your spot on a low tide day. The day can be brightened with fresh lobster, chips and fish meals sold.

9. Misali Beach, Pemba

This beautiful beach is so peaceful and a rare gem tucked on Pemba Island. Its idle for a holiday away from all the stress while listening to the waves and catching some sun.

10. Kilwa Masoko Beach

The holiday are meant to so relaxing that rest becomes unavoidable. A rare gem to offer relaxation in style is the Kilwa Masoko beach located between Dar Es Salaam and Mtwara.

Its low sand is good for a good dinner with feet tucked in sand.
