Born Zubby Azubuike Michael Egwu on February 1, 1985, in Anambra State, he had his early life in Adamawa State of Northern Nigeria. He is currently 40 years old.

To further his education upon the completion of his senior secondary education, Zubby moved to study Mass Communication at Nnamdi Azikiwe University.

Zubby Michael made his debut in the Nigerian movie industry when he appeared in ‘Missing Rib’. However, he made a breakthrough in the industry for his role in ‘The Three Widows’. Further in his career, he played other roles in films such as Omo Ghetto: The Saga (2020), Bad Omen (2020), The Return of Eze Ndi Ala (2019), Wasted Authority (2018), War For Love (2017), 1st Hit (2016), and Compound Fools (2015) among others.

Because of his roles and contributions, Zubby Michael has bagged awards and many nominations in his years of career. In 2018, he became the ‘Movie Icon of the Year’ at the ‘South East Entertainment Award’ and became ‘Nollywood Personality of the Year’ as awarded by the ‘Nigerian MSMEs & Achievers Awards’.
