Who is Yusef Rasheed, Oracene Price’s First Husband
Oracene Price’s first husband, Yusef Rasheed was of Black American descent. Although his origin is not known, he is perceived to be from the Yoruba tribe of West Africa.
This perception was derived from the name given to his first daughter, Yetunde, which means “Mother has returned” in the Yoruba language.
He got married to the tennis star’s mother in 1972. Their marriage was blessed with three daughters, Yetunde Price, Lyndrea Price, and Isha Price.
The duo remained for 7 years, until 1979 when Yusef tragically passed away from a heart attack.
Meet Yusef Rasheed’s Daughters
Yetunde Price
Yusef’s first daughter, Yetunde Price, was born on August 9, 1972, in Saginaw, Michigan. She is the oldest half-sister of tennis star, Serena Williams.
The mother of 3 owned a hair salon and worked as a personal assistant and personal nurse to her sisters, Serena, and Venus Williams before her death.
She was murdered on September 14, 2003, at age 33, while she was chatting with her boyfriend, Rolland Wormley, in her SUV. It was parked outside what was subsequently revealed to be a crack house in Compton, California.
She was shot in the head by members of the Southside Compton Crips street gang, who were guarding the crack house. They perceived Yetunde to be a member of a rival gang, Lime Hood Piru.
After she was shot, her boyfriend drove her to his mother’s home, where he called emergency service. Sadly, Yetunde was pronounced dead, shortly after arriving at the hospital. She left behind her 3 children, Jair Bobbitt, Justus Bobbitt, and Jeffrey Jr.
It was agreed in the trial that Yetunde was an innocent victim passing through the area. 13 years later, her sisters opened the Yetunde Price Community Center, a community center in Compton for “victims of violence and their families”.
Isha Price
Born on February 18, 1975, Isha Price is famous for being a producer, and lawyer. She lost her father, Yusef Rasheed when she was only 4 years old.
Isha grew up to become highly successful. She got her law degree from Georgetown University Law Center, where she graduated with a Juris Doctor degree. The movie producer also attended Howard University where she obtained a Master of Business Administration degree.
Isha Price is the founder of Price Consulting Group in Clinton, Maryland. She is also the co-founder and senior strategic advisor of Wishbone Consulting Group.
Isha served as an executive producer of the 2021 movie “King Richard” a biopic about her step-father, Richard Williams, alongside her sisters Serena and Venus. She has also served as an advisor to Reinaldo Marcus Green, a director, and the members of his cast.
Isha Price took responsibility for making sure that her family was truthfully represented in the film. It was the movie that opened many doors for her as a producer. It won an oscar and 47 other awards.
Isha Price is married to Lawyer, Felix Fayron. However, there is no information about their relationship. She enjoys cooking and sharing pictures of the yummy treats she makes on her social media handles. Isha is also a dog mom to a Lhasa, called Khan.
Lyndrea Price
The youngest daughter of Yusef Rasheed is Lyndrea Price. She is a fashion designer, web developer, and TV personality. Lyndrea was born in 1978, a year before her father, Yusef Rasheed died of a heart attack.
Growing up, Lyndrea was an athletic child. She used to run tracks and her step-father, Richard Williams tried to make her a tennis player like her half-siblings, Serena and Venus Williams, but was successful as she only played the game at the college level and did not make a career out of it.
Lyndrea has worked as a brand designer for different brands, including Ember Lynn Designs. She also worked as a customer designer on the set of “King Richard”. Additionally, Lyndrea works with Eleven, a clothing brand that provided fashion-forward tennis and everyday looks. The brand was founded by Venus Williams, Lyndrea’s half-sister.
The web designer has a good relationship with her sisters as she is always seen attending their matches and posting fun videos online.

After the death of Yusef Rasheed, she married Richard Williams in 1980. The duo had two daughters together, Venus, and Serena Williams who would grow up to be famous Tennis players.
Oracene Price is a Tennis coach, born on April 3, 1952, in Saginaw, Michigan. She attended Buena Vista High School and graduated in 1970, and also Western Michigan University.
Consequently, the mother of 5, made her coaching debut in 1994 when she and her ex-husband decided to coach their daughters Venus and Serena Williams instead of taking them for lessons elsewhere.
Within a few years after they decided to become coaches to their girls, Serena Williams and her sister, Venus Williams, began to win grand slam tournaments. Oracene and Richard have won multiple tournaments with their daughters, the William sisters.
Sadly, Oracene and Richard divorced in 2002.
