Biography of Youssoufa Moukoko
It was 20 November 2004 that Youssoufa Moukoko was born in Yaoundé, Cameroon to his parents Joseph Moukoko and Marie Moukoko. He spent his early years in his home country where he was brought up alongside his four siblings.
The footballer spent the first 10 years of his life with his mother and grandparents in Yaounde as his father was in Germany where he was a citizen since the 1990s. He joined his father when he was 10 years old and then it was after the move that he joined the youth team of FC St. Pauli in 2014. By 2016, his clear-cut talent made it impossible for Dortmund to have him over, putting him in the club’s youth team. Borussia Dortmund promoted him to the senior team of the club in 2020 and he still plays for the team.
As regards his international career, the star football player played for the Germany Under-16 team in 2017, and in 2020, he was called upon to play for the country at the Under-20 level. That said, he is yet to make it to the senior team level for any country.
