1. Why did Anairis Quinones Get Into Voice Acting?

Anairis Quinones got into voice acting because she was always interested in acting but was a very shy girl as a kid.

However, as she got older, she became more interested in anime and this inspired her love for voice acting.

Watching anime and listening to the voice actors made her realize that it is something she could do without necessarily putting herself out there.

She started off recording herself mimicking weather reports and scenes from what she watched.

2. Her Cousin Influenced Her Love For Anime

Anairis became interested in anime because while growing up, she had a cousin who was really into anime. Her cousin was in love with them and spoke about them so much.

Quinones felt the need to be able to relate with her cousin so she became really interested in anime.

3. Quinones Started Voice Acting Officially In 2018

Anairis started voice acting as a hobby. She enjoyed the process of bringing animation to life by voicing its characters, however, because she was still very shy, she didn’t push to make her love for it a career.

She eventually joined a community of voice actors and grew her abilities at voice acting. A few years down the line, she became a little more serious with voice acting and it became a side job for her.

She became a part-time voice actor and earned some money while at it. Eventually, by 2018, Anairis got her first real job as a voice actor in the anime Kemono Friends.

However, even after booking this first gig, she was still shy to push for more. She thought she was just lucky to have gotten Kemono Friends and so she fell back into her shell.

Before Anairis begins a new job at voice acting, she takes her time to research the character she would be voicing.

If the character is one who has been in existence before, she watches all about the character and tries to understand the character better.

Quinones takes a great deal of time and makes extra efforts to be able to relate with her characters before she begins to voice.

She even goes the extra mile to try and put herself in the same condition or environment with the character so as to execute the role better.

Prior to acting, Anairis was initially interested in acting. She had a huge love and passion for acting and weaving words together in a creative manner.

She considers herself a character-driven writer who loves to see and play character-driven roles.

Quinones dabbled between her school work and her job as a part-time voice actor from when she joined the community of voice actors. She was still quite young at this time and juggled through this till she was 18 because of her timidity.

Anairis had to try to overcome being shy and decided to leave her family and comfort zone. She eventually had to leave Florida for Texas after bagging her first big role in 2018.

Apart from this, she also struggled with being accepted into the entertainment industry because of the color of her skin. She feared that her talent wouldn’t be enough to get her enough roles because she was a colored woman and so she had to try harder than other actors.

These made her quite skeptical and posed a huge challenge for her but she took inspiration from others who were there before her.

She only became quite confident in herself and her talent after getting the role to play Rwby.

Anairis is inspired to be better in voice acting by other voice actors in the industry. However, her biggest inspiration comes from her mother who is a hard worker.

Anairis Quinones was into freelancing while still in college. She was doing freelance acting for Youtubers and took up other small projects as well.

She was part of the YouTube project, ‘Minecraft Diaries’ alongside Sebastian Todd.

Anairis remembers being told by her parents that she was quite a ‘hummer’ as a baby. She was so in love with music while growing up that she even attempted music.
