When it comes to African-Americans who have made it to Hollywood, a great number of names strike our minds. In the long list, Tomasina Parrot has made it as an actress having featured in ‘Along Came Polly’ (2004), ‘Starsky & Hutch’ (2004), and ‘Miss Congeniality 2: Armed & Fabulous’ (2005). She is also famed as a dancer who has featured in many works of arts including dancing for ‘New Power Generation (NPG)’.

1. Her Early Years

Tomasina Parrott was born in Long Beach, California, United States of America on January 3, 1977.

It is apparent she lived a quiet life before making it to the limelight. In that regard, not much is known about her parents, siblings or even how she was raised.

Although it is unknown whether she attended any tertiary institution, she went to Robert A. Millikan High School in Long Beach.

2. Tomasina Parrott Has Been Married To Larenz Tate For Over A Decade

Through a mutual friend, Tomasina met Larenz Tate and started dating that lasted 6 years. They became married on November 30, 2006.

Larenz Tate is an African-American actor who started his career in 1985 when he featured in ‘The Twilight Zone’. He further appeared in several TV series and films that include Menace II Society (1993), A Man Apart (2003) and Power (2017–2020).

3. She Had A Short-Lived Career In Acting

Parrott found a way to show her talent in Hollywood as an actress when she landed the role of a salsa dancer in ‘Along Came Polly’ in 2004. Alongside actors like Ben Stiller, Owen Wilson, and Snoop Dogg; she was featured in Starsky & Hutch (2004). The 2005 comedy film ‘Miss Congeniality 2: Armed & Fabulous’ also featured Parrott where she played the minor role of a club dancer.

Just when many may have presumed that Tomasina was heading towards the ladder of becoming more prominent, she surprisingly took a different turn when she never featured in any other film or even TV series. It is still not known why she quit acting, but it was a year before she became married.

4. Tomasina Parrot Danced Under The Stage Name ‘Geneva’

Parrott had a successful career in dancing and graced several stages bearing the name ‘Geneva’. She is mostly remembered for dancing for The New Power Generation (NPG) band in the early 2000s.

5. She Doesn’t Share The Same Room With Her Husband

Tate’s career and talent may not be so much of a secret, but many details about his private life have remained private for a very long time. However, he took the world by surprise when he shared details about not just his marriage but his bed!

He disclosed in an interview how he and his wife decided to stay in separate rooms because she is highly fertile. He jokingly mentioned that she gets pregnant anytime they were together.

6. Tomasina Parrott And Her Husband Coincidentally Performed For Ashanti

As a dancer, Tomasina Parrott was among the backup dancers in Ashanti’s NBC series Las Vegas in 2005.

Likewise, Larenz made an appearance in Ashanti’s ‘Rain On Me’ (2003) music video.

7. Does She Have Any Children?

Few months before Tomasina and Tate became married; they welcomed their first child, a son named Miles Xavier Tate on July 29, 2006. They further welcomed other sons, Zander Tate on June 27, 2008; and Zion Tate who was born in November 2013. Although other reports claim they have three children, others have gone further to say the couple has welcomed 4 boys with the last child whose name has not been revealed to the public.

8. Where Is Tomasina Parrot Away From Acting And Dancing?

Parrott has found herself another career away from entertainment. According to an article by Biography Mask, she currently into baking and is the owner of ‘Sugar Fairy Bake Shop’ in Calabasas.

9. Her Height And Body Measurement

Tomasina stands at 5 feet 7 inches tall with a bodyweight of 62kg. Her other body measurements remain unknown.

The net worth of Parrott has not been estimated is at this writing and neither does her actual earning. However, an average dancer in the US earns about $20.70 an hour as reported by the Bureau of Labor Statistics in 2018. A backup dancer on the other hand earns an average of $23,471. In other words, Tomasina may have earned a good fortune from her entertainment business and may still be earning well as a business owner.
