Themba Ntuli is a household name in the South African entertainment industry for his contributions as an actor, comedian and filmmaker. At an early stage, he was already participating in drama plays in primary school, but what stood him out was his obvious petite stature and height, which is noticeable and strikes anyone who meets the pint-sized young man for the first time.

Though this may be considered disadvantageous for a 28-years-old man, fortunately for Themba Ntuli these attributes indeed have endeared more admirers to him and asides from this, there are 12 things they didn’t tell you about the actor.

1. Where Was Themba Ntuli born?

The small but mighty actor is South African by nationality but was born in Zimbabwe into the family of Kenneth and Nokuthula Ntuli. As a child, Themba grew up with his parents in Zimbabwe alongside two brothers. Since he was born in Zimbabwe and from South Africa, Themba shares dual citizenship by birth and parentage nationality.

2. Educational Background?

There is not much information surrounding his academic and educational background on the internet, but he has occasionally stated that he attended Primrose primary school in Germiston where he first played roles in school dramas and was inspired and advised to go into acting professionally and kick start his acting career.

Also, Themba Ntuli holds a Bachelor of Arts, a degree in directing, writing and production from the African Film Drama Academy where he studied shortly after completing his education at Dawnview Highschool.

3. What Inspired Themba Ntuli To Go Into Acting?

As mentioned in the introductory part of this article, Themba Ntuli began acting from an early stage. He actually took part in the interpretation of roles in school dramas from Primrose Primary school. Though it started unprofessionally, his role as Lord Farquaad in the play, Shrek produced by his school spurred and motivated him to seek more acting roles.

Themba Ntuli was born in October 1992 and is currently 28-years-old. So, if you were ever wondering how old the little man on your screen is, his actual age is 28-years-old.

Yes! The South African actor and comedian got married to his lovely wife, Hope Masilo in 2019. Not many would have seen this coming for Themba Ntuli, due to his small frame and considering the fact that most ladies out there are specific with the kind of men they intend to settle down and the court as couples.

But, surprisingly, here we have it, Themba Ntuli and Hope Masilo joined in holy matrimony and they are on a journey of forever happy after.

6. He is Popularly Known As “Pule”

“Pule” as most people describe him was an onscreen character he played in one of South Africa most-watched soap operas, Rhythm City. However, it does not come as a surprise, as it is synonymous with most actors, and in some cases, the fans may not even know their actual names, but can easily describe as that character stuck in their memories from their favourite series.

7. His Role in Rhythm City Propelled His Career

Although, his time with Rhythm City was short-lived as his character did not go beyond June 2008, this helped ignite and rekindle his acting career. Today, Themba Ntuli is a freelance actor and scriptwriter.

8. How Did He Get To Feature In Rhythm City?

Themba Ntuli has often described this opportunity as ‘being in the right place at the right time”. He met Rolie Nikiwe at an event and it turns out, he was the creative director of the Rythm City and after that, he was invited and eventually cast for a role in the show where he appeared from May to June 2008.

9. At What Age Did He Get His First Acting Role?

Themba Ntuli may appear small, but not many were aware that when Rolie Nikiwe offered him his first movie role in the soapie, Rhythm City, he was already 18-years-old.

10. He Has Directed & Produced Movies

He does not just have degrees that cover directing, writing and production, but has credits to some movies productions. In conjunction with the late legendary South African movie and casting director, Mooneyeenn Lee, Themba Ntuli has worked on productions and became a director at Mooneyeenn Lee & Associates (MLS).

11. He Plays The Roles of Kids

Due to the nature of his body stature and petite size appearance and child-like looks, Themba Ntuli is mainly cast as a kid between the age of 11 and 12 years in movies.

12. A Great Comic Kid

Aside from acting, Themba Ntuli is also a skilled comedian whose jokes comes effortlessly to him and this has won him more admirers in the comedy industry.
