1. Tawny Grew up on a Ranch
Tawny Newsome was born on February 24, 1983. She is a native of Vacaville, California who basically grew up on a ranch. Her parents are Mr. Newsome who is of African-American descent and Mrs. Stephanie Newsome who is originally white.
Growing up, she wasn’t the only child of her parents as she reportedly has a younger brother. The name of Tawny’s younger sibling is Adrian Newsome who was born on September 2, 1985.
Her father was born on February 27, 1957, and he turned 65 years old in 2022. Stephanie, her mother celebrates her birthday on the 27th of December. She obviously shares a strong bond with her parents as they are constantly featured on her Instagram posts. However, her dad seems to have made more cameos on there.
Tawny attended Theatre school in Chicago when she moved there after High School in 2001. She began her comedy career with ‘Second City’ and from there grew to be quite a loveable comedian.
2. She was Cast in a Play as a Kid
Newsome’s first-ever role was as a ‘Laundry Dance’ cast in a school play. She recounts this as her first memory of ever acting. Although she didn’t get any of the lead roles in the Cinderella play, she was still part of the Elementary school play as part of a big chorus number.

One of her foremost careers in the entertainment industry was as a musician. She started off being a backup singer in ‘Talking Heads’ which used to be a touring band. Her role with the band led to her being part of Documentary Now.

The 41 year-old podcaster has been in a relationship for about 15 years. She was first in a 3-year-long relationship before she and her boyfriend decided to take it further by getting married.
Their relationship started sometime in 2010 and on September 22, 2013, Tawny and her husband tied the knot in a private ceremony. As of 2022, the couple would be celebrating the 9th anniversary.
The name of Tawny Newsome’s husband is Nate Urbansky and he is into music as well. Reports suggest that he helps his wife produce some of her band’s projects. It is uncertain if they have kids but Tawny frequently poses with kids named Izzy and Indy.
Urbansky’s wife still goes by her maiden name though she has been married for almost a decade. She said humorously that she did not want to bear her husband’s last name because it sounded funny.

Tawny is a huge activist who isn’t afraid of airing her views on certain societal issues. She is an activist who supports abortion and the right for women to do what they want to with their bodies. On her Twitter account, Tawny often posts pro-abortion news and support.
Hailing from a mixed background, the actress has always been one to speak out about racism. She is anti-racist and has gotten the support of her husband and other family and friends in the activism.
