Her daughter Koi is a model, actress, half-sister of Beyonce and Solange Knowles. She skyrocketed into fame following the paternity court tussle between her parents. Regardless, at the young of 14, she has claimed fame as an upcoming actress and model.

The relationship between Taqoya and the music executive Mathew Knowles purportedly started around 2009 when Mathew and his wife of about 3 decades started having issues that would lead to their 2011 divorce.
According to her, the relationship started well and she believed that Knowles was in love with her. The story however changed when he found that she was carrying his child.
On July 3, 2010, she had Koi Knowles and there was still no Matt in the picture. In 2014, she decided to not seek the support of the court to get Mr. Knowles to take responsibility for their daughter.
The publicity has attracted name-calling by the public towards Taqoya Branscomb. Many people believed that she was only an opportunist. It was also at that time there was digging about her life and came to knowledge that she had a history of prostitution.
Branscomb defended herself by claiming that she was not an opportunist and did not know how the story of her affair with Matthew gained publicity. She also added that she was in his life at the moment that he was going through rough times.
She Got Thousands of Dollars From Her Court Case With Mathew Knowles
It was reported that Matt wanted to keep his paternity trouble off the court and offered Branscomb $225,000. The judge, David D. Farr on finding out was asked to pay almost $71 thousand. This was besides the monthly $1,496 monthly child support, Branscomb attorney fees, and health insurance which will allegedly amount to a total of $50,000.
The financial settlement is not the only thing she wants from the older Knowles. She claims to want him to have a relationship with him and if it’ll be possible, she wants her daughter to have a relationship with her extended family – including Beyonce Knowles and Solange Knowles.

Taqoya Branscomb was Allegedly Solange Knowles’ Friend
Reports claim that Mathew Knowles’ daughter Solange was a friend to Taqoya whom she had met through a stylist in 2008. A picture of them circulated the internet with other claims that suggest the two were close and hung out a number of times.
Solange on the other hand claimed that the picture was a random fan photo and she didn’t even know Branscomb.
Koi Knowles is Not The First Love Child of Mathew Knowles
A few months to the birth of Koi Knowles, a boy named Nixon Alexander Knowles was born on February 4, 2010, to Mathew and Canadian actress, Alexsandra Wright.
Like in the case of Koi, however, Nixon’s case found its way to a paternity court. It was as such that news of the lovechild became viral. There was court-ordered child support that amounts to $8,200 for Nixon according to reports.
The relationship between Mathew and Wright was said to be cited by Tina Knowles, Mathew’s then wife’s divorce filings. Wright publicly apologized to Tina, Beyonce, and Solange for the pain she has caused as a result of the affair.

Taqoya is no longer in a relationship with Matthew as he married Gena Charmaine Avery in 2013. It is not known if Branscomb is in any other relationship.
