1. She Was Adopted By Mexican Parents
Sarah was adopted by a devout Christian family who was from Mexico. They initially only wanted to keep her in their care as foster parents but changed their minds and adopted her instead.
After her adoption, Sarah and her new parents moved to Zacatecas, Mexico. They also adopted her other siblings and they all moved to Mexico.
2. She Did Odd Jobs
While in Zacatecas, Sarah learned to milk cows and tends to the livestock of her adopted father. She became humble through all these odd jobs she did. However, she loved helping her father on the ranch.
After graduating from High School, she worked as a waitress while running gigs on the side.

Sarah came into the limelight through social media and she has been a sensation ever since. She became a sensation when videos of her great vocals and amazing talent began to make waves on social media in 2020.

During the pandemic of 2020, Sarah had about enough of the racial abuse and became more socially active. She had just had her second baby and after leaving the hospital, she joined rallies and marches raising awareness on racial abuse.
Sarah called out the racist who made harsh comments on her posts and music videos and has been trying to put an end to racism. She refers to herself as a Black Mexican woman and she is quite proud of her roots.
5. She Grew Up Singing In The Church
Sarah La Morena grew up loving music because she was surrounded by it. She grew up in Mexico and so she picked up a lot of Mexican music.
However, she started singing from the Church. Her adoptive parents were strong Christians so she was brought up the Christian way. It wasn’t strange that Sarah would begin her journey to being a great singer from the church.
It wasn’t until she performed with a band at a wedding while in High School that Sarah became convinced to pursue music. She never had singing lessons but worked on her voice and talent herself.
6. She Was Born Exposed To Drugs
Sarah became addicted to drugs from a very early age. This was the reason she was taken away from her biological mother and taken into a foster home. It was as a result of this that she eventually got adopted.
Her African-American biological mother did not bother nor care so much for Sarah. This indifference exposed her to many vices and diseases.
7. She Is A Mother
Sarah La Morena is a mother to two beautiful boys. Her first son, Ezra was born on the 9th OF October 2018. Enzo, Sarah’s second son was born prematurely three years later, on the 30th of May 2020.
La Morena was so happy when she found out she was going to be a mum for the first time. She got worried at a point because she feared the type of mother she would be. However, she is doing an amazing job raising her son and she is so proud of both of them.
Her first son, Ezra even seems to be taking after her, speaking two languages at his tender age as well as singing beautifully.

8. Sarah Tried To Commit Suicide
At a point in Sarah’s life, she went through a lot of things and had dark times. She got quite frustrated with life and tried to take her life. La Morena attempted suicide by overdosing. Luckily, she was found by her parents and rushed to the hospital.
Upon Sarah’s recovery from the overdose, she was admitted into a psychiatric hospital. She stayed in the psychiatric hospital for about two weeks in order to fully recover.
9. Sarah La Morena Survived Cancer
27 year old Sarah battled with cancer for a while. She made a post on Instagram on the 5th of May 2021 showing her hand and part of her body in what seems like a hospital robe. Sarah captioned the post with information about what she was going through.
La Morena was diagnosed with stage II Thyroid cancer and had been undergoing treatments and therapies. On the 25th of July, she made another post declaring that she was cancer-free.

The Black Mexican Mariachi singer has quite a number of goals she hopes to achieve. Apart from being a great mother to her kids and giving them a good life, she wants to leave behind a legacy they would enjoy from.
Also, she dreams of winning a Grammy Award. To Sarah, winning a Grammy would be a great boost for her career and would really set her on a high pedestal.
