Mpoomy Ledwaba has been married to Brenden Praise since 2017. Ledwaba was engaged by Praise when she was 22-years old and they married when she clocked twenty-three.
The lovers got married in January 2017. The couple revealed in an interview that they only spent R10,000 on their wedding with 50 guests in attendance, The bride’s dress cost R900 and the groom’s suit was from a Zara sale. They had no wedding cake.

1. Mpoomy Ledwaba started singing at the age of 5
Ledwaba is also a talented singer. At the tender age of 5, she started singing with her father and her four siblings in the church choir.
She continued singing into adulthood and later decided to make a career out of it. As a professional singer, she has provided backup for big artists like Vashawn Mitchel, Donny McClurkin, and Dr. Tumi
2. She dropped out of school
Mpoomy was in an exam room with her colleagues ready to write a finance exam. Instead of preparing for her exams, she was busy thinking and making plans on how to start her business.
Before the exams could start, Mpoomy lost concentration and left the exam room never returned.
3. Mpoony Ledwaba started her business with zero capital
When she decided to throw aside her education and go after business, the beloved South African had no startup capital. More so, she had no experience. Nonetheless, she had it all planed up. She was discouraged severally about starting her own business but she had faith in her dream which is to open a nail business.
In order to save money, she joined a modeling agency. Her first job was a billboard and a TV advert. She was paid R22,000. She later started a cleaning business to support herself.
After a while, she employed six other people in her cleaning business and after she got married, her husband gave her R15,000 to enroll in a nail school.
4. Her sister died after she left her parents house
Mpoomy’s parents were upset with her after she dropped out of school so she parked out of her family house. It was reported that her sister had a car accident and died afterward. Although there was no clear link that she was the cause of the tragic event, the businesswoman felt guilty that her sister died just a few days after she left the house.

5. Mpoomy’s husband is passionate about music as well
Brenden Praise was a contestant on Idols Season 9 in South Africa and ended as the runner-up. From a musical family, he started singing at the age of 5 like his wife. At the age of twelve, Praise started playing the piano.
He studied at Emendy Sound and Music Technology College. Over the years, he has received several nominations and awards.
