Moses Simon Enrolled In Football Academy At The Age Of 8

Moses Daddy-Ajala Simon was welcomed by his parents on July 12, 1995. As for his place of birth, there are sources that claim he was born in Jos Plateau state while others claim Kaduna state both in Nigeria.

According to reports, he started developing a keen interest in football during his childhood days. By the time he was 8, he was enrolled in the GBS Football Academy where he began his journey into the football world. The Football Academy has produced other famous and talented footballers such as Ahmed Musa.

While he was still nurturing his talent at the academy, Moses began to impress many scouts with his exceptional skills. Some European teams such as Liverpool FC showed their interest and readiness to sign the player at that time.

In 2013, he went into a pre-season training contract with the Dutch club AFC Ajax. Simon Moses eventually made his debut with Ajax on July 13, 2013, in a friendly game against De Graafschap.

However, the club later rescinded their decision to fully sign him so he was withdrawn from the pre-season lineup.

Throughout his time at Gent, he made 108 appearances and scored 21 goals for the club. During his three-year stint with the club, he won the Belgian First Division A AND the Belgian Super Cup in 2015.

In August 2018, Moses Simon signed a new deal with the La Liga club Levante. The contract was to last for five years for an undisclosed fee.

After playing for a year for Levante, Moses was loaned out to Ligue 1 club FC Nantes. But while he was there, his performance was not quite good as he claimed there was a communication issue between him and the coach.

He later signed a four-year contract with the club after an impressive loan deal with the club. The contract was expected to start July 1 2020 and run through until 2024.
