Moses Simon Enrolled In Football Academy At The Age Of 8
Moses Daddy-Ajala Simon was welcomed by his parents on July 12, 1995. As for his place of birth, there are sources that claim he was born in Jos Plateau state while others claim Kaduna state both in Nigeria.
According to reports, he started developing a keen interest in football during his childhood days. By the time he was 8, he was enrolled in the GBS Football Academy where he began his journey into the football world. The Football Academy has produced other famous and talented footballers such as Ahmed Musa.
While he was still nurturing his talent at the academy, Moses began to impress many scouts with his exceptional skills. Some European teams such as Liverpool FC showed their interest and readiness to sign the player at that time.
In 2013, he went into a pre-season training contract with the Dutch club AFC Ajax. Simon Moses eventually made his debut with Ajax on July 13, 2013, in a friendly game against De Graafschap.
However, the club later rescinded their decision to fully sign him so he was withdrawn from the pre-season lineup.

He Began His Senior Professional Career With AS Trenčín
Moses was later lucky to sign a three-year deal with the Slovak club AS Trenčín on January 13, 2014. His debut for the club was in a match against MFK Košice which ended in a 1-1 draw. His international debut for the club was during the Trenčín’s 2014-15 UEFA Europa League campaign. Simon scored his first hat trick on his debut in the 4-0 win against Vojvodina Novi Sad. Before he left the club, he appeared in 33 games and scored 13 goals in total.
The Nigerian Forward later moved to KAA Gent for a three years contract after signing the deal on January 6, 2015. He made his debut for the club in a 3-1 win against Royal Mouscron-Peruwelz.
He also played other matches for Gent including the one that helped them win their maiden championship trophy in May 2015.
Throughout his time at Gent, he made 108 appearances and scored 21 goals for the club. During his three-year stint with the club, he won the Belgian First Division A AND the Belgian Super Cup in 2015.
In August 2018, Moses Simon signed a new deal with the La Liga club Levante. The contract was to last for five years for an undisclosed fee.
After playing for a year for Levante, Moses was loaned out to Ligue 1 club FC Nantes. But while he was there, his performance was not quite good as he claimed there was a communication issue between him and the coach.
He later signed a four-year contract with the club after an impressive loan deal with the club. The contract was expected to start July 1 2020 and run through until 2024.

The Attacker Joined The Nigerian National Team In 2015
Coach Daniel Amokachi was the one who named Simon Moses to the national team in March 2015. The latter made his debut for his team in an international friendly against Uganda. He later scored his first goal for Nigeria in an international friendly against Niger on September 8, 2015. Due to his impressive performance, he was selected to be among the 35-man provisional squad for the 2016 summer Olympics.
The 29 year-old attacker was again named in Nigeria’s preliminary 30-man squad for the 2018 World Cup in Russia. Unfortunately, he could not make it to the final 23 due to injury but he was included in the 23-man squad for the 2019 Africa Cup of Nations.
Moses Simon is said to be a key member of the Nigeria national team and has continued to prove his worth in the team. He reportedly played a crucial role in the only goal Nigeria scored during their opening match against Egypt on January 11, 2021, at the 2021 Africa Cup of Nations in Cameroon.
