Known by various nicknames, he has released a couple of songs, and even though he has a criminal background, people believe he isn’t as bad as he is being painted.
Biography of Lil Rodneyy
From information gathered on the internet, it states that Lil Rodneyy was born sometime in September 2008. Upon further investigation, his exact date of birth could be said to be the 28th of September 2008.
He was born in Fort Worth, United States of America. He grew up with his mother and grandfather and there has been a mention of a brother though nothing much about him. The young man grew up loving rap and so at his tender age, decided to become a rapper. He grew up being exposed to the streets and has a lot of influence from there.
Controversy Surrounding the Young Rapper
A day after the young Fort Worth rapper turned 12, he was brought before an online court. The case was in 2020 during the coronavirus and so the case had to be held online. The young man was brought before the court because he had defied the court’s order.
At 11 years and younger, he was arrested a couple of times and released after a few days. During the trial, it was stated that he had an ankle monitor strapped to him as punishment for a past crime committed.
The rapper was wont to cutting his ankle monitor and running away. This time around, he did the same after several warnings and after pleas of forgiveness from him. In addition to this, he also got in trouble in the same 2020 shooting of a one-year-old.
The case which was on the 29th of September 2020 was convened because of the reasons mentioned earlier. It was said that sometime in April, Lil Rodneyy shot a one-year-old baby. Also, 6 weeks before the trial, supposedly sometime in August, he dismembered the ankle monitor he was placed on and ran away.
Upon interrogation, the Fort Worth kid stated that he had to because he was denied permission to go out. He purportedly wanted to attend the funeral of his friends and the only way he could do that was to disassociate from the monitor.
Rodneyy admitted that he asked Mr. Spencer for permission to attend the funeral but it was denied. When asked the name of the friend whose funeral he supposedly had to participate in, Lil said he did not know as they mostly knew each other with their nicknames.
Backtracking, Lil was obviously a regular at juvenile detention. He was once detained for being involved in arson. In fact, he was still on probation from the arson case and that was why he had a monitor on. From information gotten from the court proceedings, he had been in trouble and taken to court more than twice.
In the other cases where he appeared before a court, he was always pardoned and detained for a few days and then set free. The last time, he swore on God and on his mother’s name that he wouldn’t get into trouble again. However, the promise did not last for so long.
This time around, he wasn’t as lucky as he used to be as the judge known as Judge Alex Kim of the 323rd District Court was already tired of his displays. Judge Kim reminded the young rapper of the number of times he had begged to be pardoned and how he keeps repeating his crimes. Even Rodneyy’s tears did not guarantee him the mercy he hoped to get from Judge Kim.
After cutting off the monitor and fleeing, he was caught brandishing guns on his Instagram handles. Also, he made a post dissing Judge Kim which he was confronted about. He was also caught smoking weed with his friends. The young rapper is wont to display his habits and money on social media. He also cusses and uses x-rated terminologies in talking and describing people and situations.
At the end of the proceeding, Lil Rodneyy was given a sentence of 7 years in Juvenile detention. The implication of this is that he wouldn’t get released till after his 19th birthday.
