Lexington (Lex) Budden was born on December 15, 2017, as earlier stated. Interestingly, his birth coincided with the 10th anniversary of his father’s album release. His father is African-American while his mother is of Salvadorian-Dominican descent.
Lex’s birth came just 3 days after Joe Budden celebrated the decade anniversary of the Feb 26 2008-released album. The album’s anniversary happened on December 12, 2017.
At the time of his birth, his parents were about a year into their relationship, and about a year after his birth, Joe Budden decided to take the relationship with Cyn to another level by proposing to the mother of his second son.
About Lexington Budden’s Parents
Lex Budden’s father was a former rap artist whose career began at the end of the 90s. He released songs such as Pump it Up and Slaughterhouse which later formed the foundation of a group he co-founded.
Joseph Budden II was with Slaughterhouse, a 2008 hip-hop group with members like Joell Ortiz, Crooked I, and Royce da 5’9”. The group was active for a decade, dismembering in 2018.
After the disbandment of Slaughterhouse, Joe Budden went on to become a broadcaster. A year prior, he was a co-host of ‘Everyday Struggle’ podcast from April 2017 to December 2017. This further encouraged the rapper to start his own podcast now known as ‘Joe Budden Podcast’.
On the other hand, Cyn Santana, Lexington Budden’s mother is a musical artist as well. She is a model, video vixen, TV personality, songwriter, and entrepreneur who was born on October 20, 1992. She was originally born and named Cynthia Pacheco but due to the nature of her career, decided to adopt the moniker ‘Cyn Santana’.
What Happened between His Parents?
44-year-old Joe’s relationship with Cyn (32) looked like it was going to be a beautiful story. The relationship had gone on for about 2 years before the rapper asked his musician girlfriend to marry him. This proposal came uniquely as he was recording a podcast at the time and she was among the audience.
The rapper who claimed to be better than Eminem proposed to the now mother of his second son on December 16, 2018. However, barely 4 months in, the relationship crashed and Cyn called it quits.
The lovers who were part of Love &Hip Hop: New York broke up because Santana allegedly saw nudes of other women on her fiancé’s phone. The father of two denied the allegation but this did not salvage the situation as both parties went on to delete images of themselves on the social media platforms.
Lexington Budden was a little over a year when this split happened but the celebrity musicians found a way to co-parent without much hassle.
Despite their efforts, there was a time Joe Budden tweeted that he missed his son and hadn’t seen him in a long while. His fans rode with the tweet, calling out Lexington’s mother for not allowing his father to see him. Cyn, however, snapped back at the trolls in a response to the tweet and comments.

Lexington Budden has an Older Half-brother
As stated, Lex has an older brother, Trey Budden who is also known as Joe Budden III. Trey is the rapper’s first son, who was born on May 11, 2001. He was born to Joe Budden from a previous relationship with Angie.
Trey was born in Jersey City, New Jersey when his father was just 20 years old. At the time of Lexington’s brother’s birth, their father’s career was just picking up.
From his childhood to his youth, Trey had no relationship with his father. However, he appeared in L&HH: New York’s 9th season and also gave his father his blessing to propose to the mother of his younger half-brother, Lex, in 2018.
He is presently 23 years old and has also joined the music industry just like his father. He was also on ‘Couple’s Therapy with DR. Jenn’ where he spoke about his estranged relationship with his father.

Lexington Budden, one of former rapper turned podcaster, Joe Budden’s children is a celebrity child. He did not attain this title just by his father’s popularity but because his mother is also famous.
Both parents are never tired of dotting on their son whom they even opened an Instagram account. The account was active for a while, however, no recent update has been made there since 2020.
Lex has been part of the reality TV show; Love and Hip Hop: New York but his presence there was just as an infant. He is still quite young and only makes appearances on social media posts.
Seeing that his parents are social media savvy and love their son, he has made a couple of cameos on their platforms. On several occasions, Joe Budden and Cyn Santana have made videos of themselves. In one video, the trio was seen hanging out and Joe complimenting Cyn’s hairdo.
In another video, the parents played a game to see who their son would follow if they both ran away from him. Lexington, who many say is his father’s twin, ran towards his father, breaking Cyn’s heart.
Although Lexington Budden is still very young, he may just join the over 1% of celebrity sons who follow their father’s career path. This would be quite easy for him to do as his parents and older brother are all into entertainment. He is still a baby but has over 50k followers on Instagram which is currently being handled by his parent.
