Kross Ermias Asghedom is the youngest son of Lauren London and the only son of the rapper, Nipsey Hussle. His parents are both celebrities. Kross lost his father, Nipsey Hussle when he was barely two years old.

Kross Asghedom is not the only child
Kross Asghedom was born on August 31 2016 in Los Angeles, California. He has two half-siblings. His half-sister Emani is the daughter of Nipsey and his former girlfriend, Tanisha. While his half-brother Cameron was born while his mother was dating Lil Wayne.
His father was allegedly murdered by a close friend
According to reports, on the day he was murdered, Nipsey Hussle went to his clothing store, The Marathon at Crenshaw and Slauson after he had dropped off his child somewhere.
He had previously bought the entire shopping center and was planning to turn it into a mixed-use residential and commercial center.
On March 31, 2019, the rapper was shot at least 10 times at his store. The gunshot wounds included a shot on his right chest, another on his abdomen and it penetrated to his chest and struck his lung and also on his head.
Two other people were wounded during the shooting. The rapper was pronounced dead at about 3:55 pm. Nipsey Hussle died at the age of 33.
The police later identified one Eric Ronald Holder Jr. as the suspect of the shooting. According to reports, Holder and Hussle knew each other and it was believed that Holder shot the rapper because of personal issues they had.
Holder was arrested and held in solitary confinement by the Los Angeles Police Department on April 2, 2019, and he was indicted by a grand jury on one count of murder, two counts each of attempted murder and assault with a firearm, and one count of possession of a firearm by a felon.
Nipsey Hussle’s memorial service was done on April 11, 2019, at the Staples Center in Los Angeles and the tickets were provided free of charge. Quite a number of celebrities offered their heartfelt condolences to Hussle’s family. Among them was the former president Barack Obama’s letter that was sent to the Asghedom family.

Kross Asghedom’s mother had a hard time grieving his father
After Kross Asghedom lost his father his family and friends mourned him but the person who was struck the most was his partner and mother of his son, Lauren London. The actress began dating the late rapper in 2013.
Asghedom’s parents got engaged and were about to take their relationship to the next level before Hussle was murdered.
London revealed how hard it was for her to heal from the loss of her partner. Almost two years after Hussle’s murder, London did not take acting roles. She said she needed time to heal and grow.
London’s first role after Hussle died was a script given to her by Michael B. Jordan ‘Without Remorse‘. Despite how hard it was for the actress, she had to move with her life.

After Nipsey Hussle and Lauren London met in 2013, they did not start dating immediately. London bought copies of Hussle’s Crenshaw mixtape for $100 each as gifts for the cast members of BET’s The Game. They soon started following each other on Instagram.
The couple was both attracted to each other’s love for L. A and their bond increased. Asghedom was born on August 31, 2016. He lost his father at the age of two and he is currently 8 years old.
Hussle and London’s relationship was public as the lovers attended red carpets and other events together.
London revealed she is now focused on raising her two lovely kids and reflecting on her career and purpose in life.

It was reported by TMZ that Nipsey Hussle’s family was granted custody of Hussle’s daughter Emani instead of her mother who was said to be unfit. On the other hand, Lauren London was given guardianship over Kross’ estate.
Kross and his half-sister are expected to inherit $1 million each when they are of age. His mother was made in charge of his inheritance.
His father’s legacy
Nipsey Hussle was praised for his work in the community. A petition was signed to rename where an intersection close to his store, ‘Nipsey Hussle square’. It was later announced that the place would be named Ermias ‘Nipsey Hussle’ Asghedom Square.
Also over 50 murals were painted and dedicated to Hussle. Some artists also released tribute songs in honor of the rapper in 2020 and also 2021. a notable one is a track by Big Sean titled Deep Reverence. The track was released in August 2020 and the music video was released in March 2021.
