Kgomotoso earned her Bachelor’s degree in Law and Politics at the University of Cape Town in 2000. To further advance her education qualification, she traveled to the US in 2004 and gained admission into Columbia University in New York City for a Masters of Fine Arts in Theatre Arts. She lived and worked in the United States and the United Kingdom for 4 years until 2008.

The actress and her husband have been married for almost two decades, and are blessed with two amazing children; daughter Larona Lehakwe Christopher and son, Lesika Leatile Christopher. Her daughter was born in 2008 while her son was born in 2009.
