2. She was arrested in Toronto after her visa expired

Olunloyo has lived in the US for about 30 years and 5 years in Canada. She was arrested in August 2012 in her apartment in Toronto by agents of the Canada Border Services Agency.

After her refugee visa was not renewed she was considered a flight risk. She was then remanded into custody at Vanier center for women for seven days before she was deported back to Nigeria.

The social critic was sent to prison for cybercrime charges and defamation of character after she accused pastor David Ibiyeomie of adultery in 2017. After she got she narrated how life in prison was so difficult for her.

She added that the condition of the prison left her with toilet infections and sexually transmitted infections from the toilet seats.

The social critic also claimed she almost died in prison due to asthma because the prison had no drugs. She spent close to N7m on her medical bills.
