Joseph Simmons or Rev Run like he is fondly called is one of the founding men of the group Run- DMC. This was an American Hip pop group from Queens New York which was founded in 1983, apart from Joseph Simmons the other members include Darrel McDaniels and Jason Mizell, their group and acts are considered one of the most influential and original acts of their time.

2. Justine Simmons is not the first wife of Joseph Simmons

Contrary to what many may come to think, Justine Simmons is not the first woman in the life of Rev Run. Before her, he was previously married to Valerie Vaughn from 1983 to 1992. There was no reason that was given for their divorce, but it is clear that their 3 children together have remained with their father.

Simmons was pregnant with her third child Victoria Simmons but things didn’t go as planned; the baby developed a condition called Omphalocele where the child’s organs were growing outside her body. The couple found out about her condition while she was still pregnant but decided to carry the baby to full term, she died a few hours after she was born on September 26th of 2006.
