The talented actress was born on October 16, 1983, in Lagos, Nigeria. Jumoke Odetola is the last born of a family of nine. She is from Ijemo in Abeokuta, Ogun state.
She attended Abati Nursery and Primary School in Lagos and Abeokuta Girls Grammar School, Abeokuta.
Odetola attended Ajayi Crowther University in Oyo State where she earned a degree in Information and Communication Technology.
The actress had her National Youth Service Corp program in Abia state. She also has a master’s degree in Computer Science from the Federal University of Agriculture, Abeokuta

Her passion for acting continued to grow but she could not say it because of her father’s view towards entertainment.
Otedola’s sister encouraged her to take acting seriously after she caught her acting in secret. Her sister also helped her tell their siblings to support her.
She began acting fully in the Nollywood English scene before she moved to the Yoruba movie industry. In 2013, Jumoke Odetola appeared in her first movie ‘Heroes and Zeros‘ by Koga Studios and she played the role of a journalist.
She also starred in ‘Somewhere in the Dark’ together with Gabriel Afolayan. According to Jumoke Odetola, the role she played in the movie has been the most challenging role she has ever played.

The Actress’ Fight With Bewaji Folashade
The fast-rising actress had a feud with a fellow actress Bewaji Folashade in 2019. The latter took to her Instagram page to call out Jumoke Odetola.
She claimed Odetola had intentionally pushed her on set without apologizing. She also added that Odetola didn’t like her and was jealous of her.
Folashade referred to Odetola as the most heartless and illogical person in the world.

Folashade accused Odetola of influencing a director to cut her appearance in a movie from a major role to a cameo.
Folashade’s post on Instagram generated a lot of controversies online with many blaming her for taking it so far. On the other hand, Odetola denied knowing Folashade.
Odetola’s manager, Abiodun Jimoh said Bewaji Folashade was desperate for fame.
Odetola’s manager also added that the producer of the movie Folashade claimed she was denied a major role said the latter has been disturbing her for roles but she didn’t really like her because of her lack of talent.
It was when her pleas became too much, the producer decided to feature her in a swimming pool scene.
