The 32 year old’s career story will be incomplete without mentioning his enrolment in the Marseille youth system at the age of 13 in 2006 as a trainee.
The standard was a minimum of 15 years for young players who wish to join the academy. However, the French club was able to compromise their standard having noticed the promising and exceptional talent of the lad who proved himself by gracefully rising through the ranks of success in football by hard work and determination.
He later signed a three-year contract with the team in 2009 and went on to join Ligue1 rivals Sochaux on a loan until the end of the 2013-2014 season. Ayew’s promising career in football continued to advance when he joined Lorient in July 2014.
The star later picked up a new deal with Aston Villa on the 27th of July 2015 for a fee that is believed to revolve around €8 million.
