Biography Of Family Background Jaden Newman
Her parents Vivian Gonzalez and Jamie Newman welcomed on 13th June 2004 in Orlando, Florida, the United States. She is currently 20 years old. She is the second child of her parents after her elder brother Julian Newman.
The basketball genius has Jewish and Puerto Rican heritage. She is growing up in a family that is deeply rooted in sports. Every member of her family tasted the waters in basketball. Her father in his basketball playing days played for Colonial High School in Orlando as a point guard.
Similarly, her mother played as a point guard for University High School in Orlando. Later on, she was at the United States Navy, where she served for 4 years. At the moment, she is working with the United States Postal Service.
Her older brother Jaden is also playing amateur basketball as a point guard. He began his journey in basketball at Downey Christian where her father teaches history and coaches the school’s basketball team.
Their parents are proud because she and her brother are wearing the same shoes they wore while they were young. But, the only difference is that she and her brother have set records.

The 20 years old is currently undergoing her high school education at Downey Christian School. Everything being equal, she is graduating in 2022.
Interestingly, the University of Miami has already given her an offer. However, she has her dreams and aspirations. Well, the ball is in her court. She will definitely go to where her heart lies.
Looking back, she got her first Division-1 offer when she was almost 9. And ever since, she has received more than a dozen offers from the likes of Kentucky and Louisville.
In as much as these offers come, the young girl is dreaming big. She wants to become the first woman to play in the NBA. It is her desire to play for the Connecticut basketball team.

1. Her Dad Mentioned Her Name To The Downey Christian’s Varsity Team
Newman’s opportunity came when Downey Christian’s Varsity team didn’t have a point guard and her father mentioned her to them. He was convinced by her level of performance at the local YMCA, and that was okay for him.
At first, she was startled by the idea. Her teammates didn’t hide their skepticism. They weren’t aware that she was incredible at the game. But, after seeing her play a few games, they admitted she was good.
2. She And Her Brother Makes 500 Practice Shots Daily
It is an advantage to have a dad who is not just a father but also a coach. The young girl and brother are lucky to have their father who happens to be the head coach of the Downey Christian basketball team coaching them. According to reports, the kids make 500 practice shots daily.
The practice is broken to include 200 stationary shots from beyond the 3-point line. 100 threes off the dribble, 100 floaters, and 100 mid-range shots.
3. She Reached 1,000 Career Points At The Varsity Prep Level At The Age Of 11
The basketball prodigy became the youngest female basketball player at the age of 11 to reach 1,000 career points. She achieved the feat while in 6th Grade.
Jaden joins the varsity team in the 3rd grade. She went on to average 31.3 points as a 5th grader, and 57 points in her 6th-grade debut. She later added 59, 48, and 47 points.
4. She Beats Stephen Curry In A 3-Point Contest
Many people alleged that Curry allowed her to win on purpose. Whether he did or didn’t, doesn’t take away the fact that she was 10 when she did that. And it was incredible that at her age, she made 16 3-pointers.
