Fondly called Dee by her siblings, Diedre Wayans is one of 10 children born to Howell Wayans (father) and Elvira Wayans (mother) on August 17, 1959. She grew up in Chelsea, New York City, United States, alongside her siblings.
The family is famous for show business in America but, before their fame, her father was a supermarket manager while her mother was a social worker. They are also known to be Jehova Witness devotees.
