She has worked in the costume department of the Tyler Perry’s studios and also as the personal stylist to Tyler Perry. Before she started work for Tyler Perry, she worked on Capitol Hill for some time but later left because according to her, politics wasn’t her passion. She moved to Atlanta to pursue her music and acting career.

Crystal Hayslett transitioned from a production assistant to a full-time actor because of her hard work and persistence.
