1. Claudinette Jean was Born in Haiti
Marie Claudinette Pierre-Jean was born in Jeremie, Haiti on August 7. Her exact year of birth is not clear, yet, her 55 years old husband, Wyclef Jean admits she is a few years older than him.
She and her parents later migrated to the US when she was only eight years old. Like her husband whose parents also migrated to the US at a young age, they made a life for their young family soon enough.
Alongside her four brothers and one sister, Claudinette’s parents soon settled in Newark, New Jersey where they raised their children.
