Chinara Butler is the wife of the deceased American rapper and record producer Chad Lamont Butler better known by his stage name, Pimp C. Her husband was the one half of the hip-hop duo the Underground Kingz (UGK) together with Bun B.
Chinara married the rapper in 2003 and they have a daughter named Christian. Barely after four years of marriage, her husband died in a hotel room while she was waiting to pick him up at the airport.
She is now the CEO of UGQ and AllthingsTrill. She is also an author as well as an executive producer. Since her husband died, she has continued to produce some of his projects in other to preserve his legacy.

PimpC married Chinara while he was in prison. The couple went to the same high school but did not date at that time. They later met when they were all grown up and the rapper asked her out.

PimpC was arrested on December 16, 2000, in Houston’s Sharpstown Mall. He allegedly held a woman named Lakita Hulett at gunpoint and threatened to shoot her in a shoe store.
The rapper had earlier exchanged words with the woman in the store. After he threatened to shoot her she ran away and called the police. PimpC did not want to surrender to the police so he was forced to the ground.
He was taken to Houston Central Jail and he was charged with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon. He posted $10,000 bail and was sentenced to probation after he pleaded no contest in early 2001. He was later sent back to prison in January 2002 after he didn’t report to his probation officer on several occasions.
He was sentenced to eight years in prison. He spent his prison time at the Terrell Unit in Brazoria County Texas before he was moved to Huntsville Unit.
On December 30, 2005, the rapper was released from prison and was placed on parole until December 2009.

During an interview, the music producer revealed that her husband once saved her life before he went for a tour. She explained how she fainted after having a shower just to later wake up in the hospital.
Chinara had an ectopic pregnancy so she was bleeding severely. Her husband took her to the hospital and stayed with her all through her treatment.
5. Her husband suffered from pneumonia as a child
Butler’s husband was born prematurely so he suffered numerous health issues. He suffered from pneumonia at least 9 times and his eyesight was bad. It is said that he almost became blind after he had a severe bout of pinkeye.

7. Chinara Butler was accused of mishandling funds by Chad Butler Jr.
According to reports, Chad Butler Jr., the son of late-rapper Pimp C wants control of his rapper’s estate. Butler Jr.petitioned to have his stepmother removed as the administrator of PimpC’s estate after he claimed she allegedly mishandled money. This all started because PimpC died without writing a will.
The rapper’s son claimed Chinara has handled his late father’s estate business poorly. He added that bills were not paid, expensive jewelry have gone missing and the house was also in foreclosure.
Butler’s lawyer revealed that Chinara spent $150,000 from the estate’s revenue from 2011 to 2013 and more than $80, 000 within the last couple of years. Also, Public records indicate that a $7.2 million federal tax lien and $5.1 million were owed to UGK’s old manager Byron Hill.
Judge Gerald W. Eddins approved Butler Jr.’s request and removed Chinara Butler as the administrator. Chinara’s manager stated that she did not oppose the ruling of the judge because she was tired of managing the estate.

8. Her husband’s cause of death was questioned
The American rapper PimpC was reported dead after he was found dead in his hotel on December 4, 2007. The coroner reported that the rapper died due to complications from heavy consumption of purple drank.
He was found in his hotel room surrounded by big tall candles. His body was transported back to Port Arthur, Texas. His funeral was held at the Bob Bowers Civic Center on December 13, 2007.
Even with the report given by the police, PimpC’s mother strongly disagreed with the report. She believed that he was murdered. She stated that someone might be there the day her son died.
Other conspiracy theorists argued that the media used the story of an overdose as the cause of death of the rapper as a coverup for the fact that he was murdered after he tried to expose individuals during an interview conducted a few days before he died.
However, PimpC’s mother, Weslyn Mama Wes Monroe passed in 2013 after battling with an undisclosed illness.
