Bahumi Madisakwane is a fast raising South African TV star and movie actress well known for featuring Zola in the popular SABC’s Keeping Score. Unlike her type whose parent’s celebrity status often gives prominence upon them, the actress rather picked an unlikely path to tow by writing her personal success story.

Coming from a family well-known for acting, her father Somizi Mhlongo, a famous SA IDOL’s judge and choreographer, her mother, Palesa Madisakwane, an actress and TV personality, and her late grandparents; she follows suit, but, the decision to go into acting was solely hers with their influences.

The actress and reality TV star was born Bahumi Madisakwane in the city of Johannesburg, Gauteng Province, South Africa, on the 9th February 1995, as the sole daughter of Palesa Madiskwane and Somizi Mhlongo. Even though the pair never married each other because of Somizi’s sexual orientation, both agreed to co-parent and raise their daughter as a team, with her mum playing a more active part in her upbringing.

The story of how Bahumi came to be when her parents crossed paths, with her mother approaching her father and expressing her feelings to him, however, Somizi’s sexuality was not straight, he was more of a bisexual, and already in a relationship with another man. Palesa had no issue with his bisexual nature since he could date both males and females. The affair continued until he fully realized that he was gay, however, by that time, she has already taken in.

When he got to know about the pregnancy, Somizi, accepted to help raise the child along with Palesa, but the relationship ended because he was gay, and ever since they remained friends.

1. Bahumi Madiskwane Has A Step Brother And A Sister

She is the only daughter of her parents, but she has a stepbrother, Thato, and a stepsister, Khumo. Both stepsiblings were products of a failed marriage between her mother Palesa Madiskwane and estranged husband, Jakes Mucuminyane.

2. Her Right Leg Is Bigger Than The Left

The TV reality star is from suffering from a medical condition known as lymphedema which causes the arm or leg to swell because of a failure in the lymphatic system. Sadly, she would live with it for the rest of her life because it has no cure.

8. Bahumi Didn’t Get An Invitation To Her Father’s Wedding

During a question and, answer series on Twitter with her fans, a fan asked whether she got an invitation to her father’s wedding. She revealed they invite her, but she gate-crashed to get there.
