Ayanda Ncwane is one of the biggest names in the South African entertainment scene. She is an actress, a singer, and a philanthropist. More than that, she is also recognized as the wife of legendary South African gospel musician and online personality Sfiso Ncwane until his death in 2016.

She has become an inspiration to many in South Africa and beyond because of her courage, hard work, and resourcefulness. She has been through a lot in her life- suffering the loss of many loved ones that have changed her life, but these experiences have not changed her view of life for she encourages people around her to count their blessings when things seem tough and move on in life.

Biography and Early Life of Ayanda Ncwane

It was on the 12th of August that Ayanda Ncwane was born to her parents whose identities remain unknown. The actual year of her birth has also never been revealed. It is clear, however, that she was born and brought up in South Africa where her grandparents were significant in raising her because her parents were not present in her life.

She attended and graduated from Nombika High School but it is not known for sure the University she attended. While she was in school Ayanda trained to become an actress as well as a singer, she was also in the girls’ scout.

After graduating from school, Ayanda immediately began to pursue her modeling dreams, she even went ahead to participate in the Miss Teen South Africa pageant and also Miss Teen Durban though we do not know for sure whether or not she won these contests.

She met and married the love of her life Sfisco when she was just 18 years old, the love birds got married sometime in 2002. She has revealed that her husband had always been her companion and close friend.

Not someone who needs any form of introduction among South Africans, Ayanda Ncwane was one of South Africa’s most celebrated and loved gospel musicians inspiring and giving hope to many young talents in the Gospel industry. After struggling with kidney disease her husband finally died on the 5th of December 2016, this was a very tough time for Ayanda for the two of them were very close.

Since the death of her husband she has not been seen with anyone, she said she pities any man she ends up with now for she will always compare him to her late husband which no doubt is a big shoe to fill.

Their union was blessed with two wonderful kids, Ngcweti Ncwane and Mawenza Ncwane.

What Is Her Net Worth?

Though Ayanda has neither confirmed nor denied it, her net worth is said to be at about 2 to 3 million dollars, she is now the CEO of Ncwane Communications and the president of Africa Gospel Awards, the roles she had to take up upon her husband’s death.

Her musical career and other engagements in the entertainment industry have all contributed to her enviable net worth.

1. Ayanda Ncwane is also a reality TV star and actress

Beyond music, Ayanda is also into the reality TV business. She is on one of South Africa’s most-watched reality TV series The Real House Wives of Durban, where they live their everyday lives in front of the camera.

In addition to all the awesome things Ayanda is into she has also made appearances in some movies. She played different roles in Generations and Isindigo among others.

2. She is a published author

Ayanda wrote a semi-biography after the death of her husband where she talks about him and their life together, the struggles they passed through and how they got to the height they attained before he died.

It is sad but also beautiful the way she brings readers into the life she and her husband once shared and to let people know what kind of a man he was. It is obvious that they both loved other so much even though their time together on earth was cut short, the title of the book is For The Love Of Sfiso.

3. Ayaanda is a fashionista

Ayanda has always been admired for her dressing styles of class and royalty. She is very much in touch with her modeling side and keeps giving her fans styles after styles every single day. She rocks outfits ranging from ‘Rock star to simple and classy as well as looking like a goddess or even royalty, she even won an award for her great dressing styles.

4. She has been recognized with various awards

Ayanda has worked hard and tirelessly to grow the organization that her late husband left behind and her hard work is evident for she was recognized both within South Africa and internationally. She won the International Outstanding Music Promoter and Brand Manager of the Decade Award in London, she also won the Positive Impact Music Award and also Best Dressed Award in the Clima Africa Awards.

5. She has had some legal challenges with the children of her late husband

Apart from the kids Ayanda had with Sfiso, the singer also left behind two older children from his previous relationship. After his death, the children, Snqobile Mzelemu and Sduduzo Dlamini dragged Ayanda to court because she allegedly refused to include them in sharing the estate of the late musician.

6. There are reports that she is in a new relationship

More than five years since the death of her husband, there have been some reports that she is in another relationship with a secret lover. However, she continues to maintain that she is single. There were rumors that she was pregnant, but she did not waste time to set the record straight that she is still single and even though she would love to have more kids, that would only happen when she is in a relationship.

7. Ayanda believes her late husband was poisoned

After the death of her husband, Ayanda has come out to say that she suspects that her dear husband was poisoned and that was what led to his untimely demise. She also said her brother was also a survivor of poison but unfortunately her husband did not make it. This has made her not trust people and so she does not eat foods in public, especially when it is directed to her for fear of being poisoned too.
