Biography of Amadou Diawara

It was on 17 July 1997 that Amadou Diawara was born in Conakry, Guinea. He was brought up in his home country by parents who were both teachers. He fell in love with football at a very early age, but his parents only wanted him to study. According to him, the first day he told his father that he wanted to become a footballer, he got a smacking that he could never forget.

However, he still got the support of his sister, Sira who bought football boots for him. In order not to get into trouble with his father, he kept the boots well hidden. From playing on the streets of Conakry and with a small team, he was sighted in 2014 and that was when he moved to Italy to play for San Marino in the Lega Pro.

Before then, he had his youth career with Syli Authentic and FC Séquence in Guinea. In 2015, he moved to Bologna and only played a season before he was signed by Napoli where he played until 2019 when he moved to AS Roma with which he now plays.

As regards his international career, he started playing for Guinea in 2018.
