The Fatih Karagümrük’s player was born into a polygamous family in the city of Jos to his parents Alhaji Musa and Sarah Moses on 14th October 1992. He is reportedly a native of Borno Stat and a Muslim by faith. His mother Sarah was a Christian from Edo state while his father was a Muslim from Borno state.

Ahmed Musa has attained success in his career so far. His career began in the GBS Football Academy in Jos Plateau state. In 2008, he was loaned to JUTH FC where he played 18 games and scored four goals in his first two professional seasons.
He was later sent to Kano Pillars F.C on another loan in the 2009-10 season and he set the league record scoring multiple goals as his team finished second. The Nigerian forward held the record for the highest goals ever scored in one season in the history of the Nigerian Premier League until November 2011 when Jude Aneke of Kaduna United F.C beat the record.
In 2010, Musa was transferred to Dutch club VVV-Venlo but unfortunately, his age at that time did not allow him to play because he was not eligible for an ITC in accordance with the FIFA rules. He was eventually allowed to play when he turned 18 that same year in October 2010.
While at Venlo, his skills on the pitch did not go unnoticed as other clubs started scouting for the Nigerian player. Venlo reportedly turned down a bid of €10 million for Musa from a Bundesliga club. However, he was signed for Russian side CSKA Moscow on January 7, 2012, for an undisclosed fee.
After becoming the 5th highest scorer in the Russian Premier League, he moved to Leicester City on 8 July 2016 for an estimated fee of £16.6 million. Ahmed scored his first goals for the club in a friendly against Barcelona in the 2016 International Champions Cup in a 4-2 loss. He also made his Premier League debut on August 13, 2016, in a 2-1 defeat against Hull City. He also scored his first Premier League goal in a 3-1 win over Crystal Palace on October 22, 2016.
The former Venlo player was later transferred to CSKA Moscow on loan for the 2017-2018 season before he moved to Saudi Arabian side Al Nassr on August 4, 2018. Ahmed Musa Made His International Debut At The Age Of 17
In April 2010, Musa was called up to join the Nigerian national football team camp before the 2010 FIFA World Cup in South Africa under the leadership of coach Lars Lagerback. After helping Nigeria win in the 2010 WAFU Nations Cup, he was however forced out of the Super Eagles’ 30-man World Cup roster due to an ankle injury.
On August 5, 2010, the Nigerian footballer made his debut for the senior team in a qualification match for the 2012 Africa Cup of Nations against Madagascar. He later recorded his first goal for the super eagles in 2011 against Kenya.
In 2011, he was declared unavailable by VVV Venlo even though he was included in the Nigeria national under-20 football team to represent the country in the 2011 African Youth Championship qualifiers.
