Just like any African culture, Ghanaian Females have names that are peculiar to them. These names have remained an integral part of Ghanaian culture and heritage. These names can be derived from circumstances surrounding the birth of a child, the parents’ faith, pronouncements made about the child, and many other reasons.

These names aren’t only found in Ghana as some of these tribes spill over to other west African countries. However, the major tribes in Ghana are Akan and Ewe which form about 60% of the population. Other Tribes include Ga-Adangbe, Twi, and these Ghanaian Female names can be used interchangeably by some of these tribes.
