His Father, Michael Conrad Baxton Sr. is a retired American preacher and TV star born on June 26, 1947, in the United States of America. Braxton Sr. grew up in Maryland. While his mother, Evelyn was a former opera singer, cosmetologist as well as a pastor.
Braxton Sr. worked as a methodist pastor, and with a power company, Baltimore Gas and Electric. The largest gas and electric utility and a subsidiary of the Exelon Corporation.
Braxton’s parents in 1964 and the duo got married in 1966 as teenagers. Their marriage was blessed with 6 children; Toni Braxton, Micheal Conrad Braxton Jr., Traci Renee Braxton, Towanda Chloe Braxton, Trina Evette Braxton, and Tamar Estine Braxton.
Michael’s siblings started a singing group, The Braxtons. The group started its career in the choir and was later signed to Arista Records in 1989. In 1990, they released a single “Good Life” which did not do well, and they were eventually dropped from the label.

Born on October 7, 1967, Toni Braxton is one of the best-selling female artists in history. She is an American R&B singer who has won 7 Grammy awards, 9 Billboard Music Awards, 7 American Music Awards, and several others.
Toni studied for a teaching degree at Bowie State University, but after graduation, she decided to go fully into music after being discovered by William E. Pettaway.
Toni started her career in music alongside her sisters who formed a music group called “The Braxtons”. Sadly, the group disbanded in 1999 after releasing an album titled So Many Ways.
She got married to Keri Lewis in 2001 and had two children together. Denim Cole Braxton-Lewis, in 2002 and Diezel Ky Braxton-Lewis in 2003. Diezel was later diagnosed with autism. Unfortunately, Keri and Toni announced their separation in 2009 and later got divorced in 2013 after 13 years of being married.
The multi-award singer began dating rapper, Birdman in 2016. The couple announced their engagement in 2018. In 2019 they called off the engagement. However, the couple announced that they are still together even after calling off their engagement.

After the group disbanded, Traci and her sisters became backup singers for their sister, Toni and they went with her on her first U.S tour, music videos, and promotional appearances.
In 2017, she starred in a stageplay titled “There’s a Stranger in my House”. In 2018, she released a single titled Broken Things where she featured her sisters. Later that same year, she released Lifeline, the official lead single from her second single, On Earth which was released in August 2018.
The singer got married to Kevin Surrat and they had a son, Kevin Surrat Jr., and a grandson, Kevin Surrat III.

The actress is famous for “Head Over Heels” (2018), “Hip Hop Holiday” (2019), “Sister and the Shrink 2” (2021), and many others.
In 1994, Trina married Jose Mojica Jr. and they welcomed 2 sons, Eric and Caleb. The pair got divorced in 2001. The actress then got married to Gabriel Solis, a software developer on August 10, 2003. Again they got divorced in 2015. Sadly, Gabriel died of cancer in 2018 at the age of 43.
On December 15, 2019, Trina got married to Von scales and the ceremony was featured on an episode of “Braxton Family Values”.

Tamar is an award-winning singer who has released 5 albums and is currently working on a 6th one. Awards won by the singer are BET Awards and Soul Train Awards, and other awards she has been nominated for including the Daytime Emmy Award, and Grammy Award.
She was a co-host of the famous talk show “The Real” from 2013 to 2016, which earned her two Emmy Nominations. In 2019, Tamar contested and won the second season of the reality TV show “Celebrity Big Brother”.

On April 29, 2019, Braxton Jr. lost his 24-year-old daughter, Lauren Braxton, to a heart condition. The family reported that she experienced some complications related to heart issues and by the time the paramedics arrived, she was unresponsive and later pronounced dead.
Some sites, however, reported that Lauren passed away from heroin and fentanyl intoxication and not heart complications as widely reported. Lauren left behind a one-year-old son.
2. Braxton is a Recording Artist
Michael Conrad Braxton, though not as famous as his sisters, has also recorded a couple of songs in his career as a singer and songwriter.
