The beautiful actress was born Mide Abiodun Funmi Martin on April 12, 1979. She hails from the South Western part of Nigeria, Illesa Ogun state. She was born to the late Funmi Martins who was a top-list Yoruba movie actress. Her parents reportedly separated during her teenage age.

The Beautiful actress is the first child out of the three children of the late actress Funmi Martins. Her younger brothers are Ayo Martins and Damilare Peters. While Mide is popular, there isn’t much known to the public about her brothers. However, Damilare Peters her stepbrother came to the limelight when she was allegedly called out for leaving him with no support after Funmi’s death. Damilare the product of Mide and afro juju singer Shina Peter.
The actress provided clarity as she was overly been dragged. Mide stated that she had requested the custody of her stepbrother severally even before her grandmother’s death who was his guardian after Funmi’s death. The actress went on to say that although she doesn’t have much, she lives a modest lifestyle and isn’t heartless to completely abandoned her brother but she wasn’t given custody by his uncles.
Well, this turned out to be false when Damilare made a video claiming that the actress never reached out to him for over 18 years. He also added that his major need is financial assistance to complete his University education and not a shelter.
