Duranice Pace was an American gospel singer and one of the lead singers for the  Pace sisters who moved the gospel music scene. The first gained media attention after a clip of Duranice surfaced online despite their decades-long career in the gospel. Biography Of Duranice Pace

Duranice Pace was born on 13 May 1958 in Atlanta Georgia.  Her parents were Bettie Ann Pace and Murphy Pace Jr. her father was a pastor.

She and her eight other sisters found music and started singing from their father’s church. It became a great part of their lives. She died at the age of 62.

Duranice life was filled with challenges but she always found a reason to be thankful to God. When she was three months old she broke both ankles but still pulled through. Her son, Demarcus Love recalls the love everyone felt around his mom.

She went to school at Walter F. George High School in Atlanta, Georgia. A music scholarship at the O.R.M Word Processing School marked the beginning of her advanced music career. She didn’t finish the training there. Duranice completed her music major at Andrew College in Georgia.

Since the age of eight, she had dreams of going to broadway.

Life And Death Of Duranice Pace

Realizing how blessed she was to be talented by God, Duranice pace lived to worship God. Having survived rat poisoning she dedicated her life to the gospel ministry.

Her journey saw her losing half of her vocal cord as a result of the rat poisoning she had suffered for three days in Rochester,  New York. . Other challenges she was forced to live with the diagnosis of having thyroid cancer and was given three years to live.

For eleven years she lived with the disease. She made the popular television personality, Steve Harvey teary when she was interviewed on his show, it showed how powerful her voice is.

She died on 14 January 2021 after herb health failed her.

News of her passing away was a rude shocker to her followers and people who found healing in the soothing words of her music.

The Anointed Pace Sisters moved beyond their home state of Atlanta to the world’s stage through their music.

They brought attention to themselves to the stage through social media and have lived up to their name with their voices that touched heaven itself. Duranice was very serious about her faith reaching the far corners of the earth. she ministered to US and South Korean soldiers.

She went to other parts of the world like New York, London, Italy, Australia, Japan, and New Zealand on evangelism work. her evangelical ministrations were a huge part of her life’s work.

Her singing and preaching were influenced by the Holy Spirit who set people free, healed the sick, and mended the broken heart.

Her life challenges were so enormous, it remains a mystery how she remained hopeful despite the doctor’s report after the rat poisoning and progressing thyroid cancer.

She was told she won’t sing or talk again but she never gave up.

The group has released five albums before the death of Duranice Pace. Their albums were recorded under two separate labels.

First, they started with Savoy records in 1992 before switching to their own label, Gospel Pace in 2006. The 2006 album had a collaboration with the Tyscot label.

6. Her Sister’s Solo Career

One of the Pace sisters, Tarrian LaShun Pace is fully into a solo career. It is not unusual to find her singing alongside her sisters as a recurring member.

Tyler Perry bought her a home in 2019 after she was diagnosed with kidney failure.
